Password-protect a folder?

I'm looking for a way to password protect a folder. Just something simple, so that whenever I want to go into the folder it asks for a password. I've tried other programs, but they just encrypt every single file in the folder. I just want it so that the FOLDER cannot be double-clicked-into. Not every single file (there are THOUSANDS.)

MS has something called Private Folder I think? It runs as a service though. It could also be scripted via the Crypto Api.

If it's a school computer than she should talk to the System Administrator. They could easily set up a restricted folder for her.

Please tell me you guys aren't using a shared login. If so, the teacher is an idiot.

Just change the permissions on the folder so that only the teacher's login has rights to it.

Anyone else clicks on it, they will get an "Access Denied" alert.

Yep, we are using a shared login. It is not a school computer, it is a junk computer that I restored for the classroom's use.
