I'm looking for a small camera that I can carry around in my pocket
and pull it out when the oppertunity shows itself, but that also has
some manual features (I would like to make long exposure shots). I
was thinking of a Casio Exilim EX-S770, or something similar that I
could find for under 200$. Do you think that camera would be good
for what I need? Any suggestions?

Canon Powershot series... Most of these have manual override, small enough to carry around in pocket and proven record of good color reproduction.
I have a Canon Powershot A640. Althougth I think the Exilim might do you well.
I haven't had time to explore Exilim in depth, but I have used couple of Powershots.. besides I had old Canon SLR (film back) and now Nikon D70 (digital) and another Nikon (film back)... from the smallers cams that I've experienced of Canon, Nikon and Sony's I've found Canon has better color reproduction. I think you should try and visit a showroom where you can handle and try camera personally, that should help you take decision by your own experience.

I found out that the
Exilim 770 does not have a completely manual exposure mode, so I don't
know if it will be a good choice.
Powershot series is incredible. I love Canons, though, so I'm a bit biased. But I've never had a single problem with any Canon product that I've used. I owned an XTi for about 6 months (it was a rental type of situation), and it never went wrong. My current Powershot is the same way, and I've had it for a year.
