Okay, I have posted in several different forums, just thought I ask here too.
I have a Supermac 600c (MacClone) machine. Right now I am running OS 9.2.2. I downloaded a proggie called Xpostfacto that supposedly makes it possible to boot from and install OS X on machines like this.(with the right proccessor).
Now, I have tried it several times, but with no success. Does anyone here have any experience with a Mac clone machine and if so, can you help me figure it out?

The c600 is based on the PowerMac 6500 architecture. This machine has known problems when trying to boot an OS X CD. I have a c500 myself and as yet haven't bothered trying to install OS X on it. From what I understand this series of machines has what they call a broken ROM. Meaning the ROM or BIOS works but it never worked properly or Apple hobbled it together and never bothered to fix it. Now from what I have read you have to boot the system into the Open Firmware prompt. This is like a tiny micro OS that is in the 4megs of system ROM. From there you have to enter a few lines of code that tell the system what drive to boot from. The problem is that even after you have OS X installed successfully you will have to enter the open firmware each time to boot into it. This of course sucks and this is why the ROM is considered to be one of the broken ROMs out there. There is no way to fix this and this is one of the main reasons Apple abandoned the old legacy PowerPC platform and built a new one. Sorry to give you bad news like this. But I think you are going to have to stick to OS 9.2.2 and just use some of the very nice OS X themes out there for it like I do.
Now if you happen to be able to get your hands on one of the following machines you most definitely can get OS X 10.1 to run on it even without a G3 card although it will be slow.
PowerMac 7500, 7600, 7300, 8500, 8550, 8600, 9500, 9550, 9600.
Power Center, Power Wave, PowerTower and PowerTower Pro, UMax s900, j700,
Upgrade any of these with a G3 or G4 card and you can run Mac OS X 10.2 and above as far as I know. I have both a PM 9500 and a Power Tower Pro and I can run both with OS X 10.2 with a G3 card. But there are a few tricks that need to be learned along the way. It would take a much more formal "How To" to teach you all the tricks. It is not that it’s hard it’s just tricky especially with OS X 10.2 on these older machines as they changed the boot process a little and there tends to be problems with the fast SCSI bus.
Now I do plan on selling my PowerTower Pro with a 225MHz 604e CPU. So if anyone is interested give me a PM.

Okay, so, as you said, it will not work on my 600c, so I will stick with my OS 9.2.2. And yes, I have it themed to look like OS X. (Smoothstripes to be exact). I have a Performa 6115cd and a Performa 575, so no change on getting those to run OS X unfortunately either. Oh Well.
I would love to buy a machine that can run OS X, but a las, I can barely make ends meet, so I guess I have to wait a while.
