How to get Safari Look
When you install the theme you need to go to Tools>Addons>Themes and right click Foxdie>About Foxdie
From there you choose sub-styles (thats where the safari styles are)
to get the best emulation the following options are recommended:
Toolbar Button - Leopard (Brushed if you want older look)
Extreme Ways - Leopard
The Others - Safari Searchbar (if u want)
Great skin... too bad if I use one of the 'extreme ways' options and open another tab I can't close it (outside of right clicking it) or switching to another tab.

Yes you can. There should just be an (X) at the left of each tab. No problem with that here, even when I open a new tab I can close the one im on

So just to be sure, the zip file I get from DA, I just rename into .jar then drag it into my add-ons menu in Firefox, correct?

tab titles don't update - ie: only says 'loading...'

haha. ok First you need to change the .zip to .jar 
Open any folder and click on Tools -> Folder Options
On the View tab under Advanced Settings, uncheck the box next to "Hide extensions for known file types". Press OK
Now open the window where the .zip file is and rename it from ***.zip to ***.jar
Now open firefox>Tools>Addons>Themes and drag the jar file into here.
Change firefox theme to foxdie>restart firefox
Open Tools>Addons>Themes
right click foxdie, click about foxdie
Now, Select which options you want (read first post)

Yeah all you have to do is rename it and drag it to themes.
Strange thing that the X isn't showing maybe it has something to do with your computer 
Thanks, how do you change the .zip to .jar? (I already tried renaming, and looking into it in properties)

Actually I uploaded a jar, but DA changed it into zip, and hey, I'll upload the RC5 soon, in this week...

Very nice theme by the way~ & welcome to this forum
I think this is by far one of the best skins I've come across. Can't wait for future releases to this. One bug I've noticed is when you select Bigger Font, the Bookmark toolbar's link mouse over gets chopped into [Left End][Offset Middle][Right End] <- I hope that's not too confusing. Just try it and you'll see the graphical glitch.
Another one, I think you just explained away with the TabMixPlus incompatibility but it's when you choose any of the "Extreme Ways" options, the Tabs effectively freeze and cannot be navigated between; also, "loading..." gets stuck on the tabs. I believe this was mentioned above somewhere.
Lastly, a question:
I see check boxes within each category but aren't the selections in certain categories mutually exclusive? Meaning if you select "Leopard" under the "Toolbar Button" section, you get Leopard toolbar buttons. But what happens if I select (Check) 3 at once? Should these be radial buttons or am I missing some feature? Please clarify.

the little bug you mentioned about is not a bug, just very few people have it, and you are the 6th one, most people don't have that, I don't know why, but I know how to fix it, put the following code into your userchrome.css, please...

about the checkbox, it's easy... I set a default style which is Camino in it, that's my first theme, when I got 36 themes in my hard driver, I think it would be crazy for me to update theme if I upload them all, so I figure a way out to foxdie, sorry I'm going far by this topic... So back to the checkbox, they are all optional, you can't use 2 kinds of toolbar button, right? so you can just check one in the toolbar button groupbox, if you don't check anyone in it, it would be Camino's button. Same as the bookmarks toolbar and other tabs(Netscape), actually I don't use that tab a lot, but my friend want it, so I re-made it, the images come from the fusion theme.
As for the Extreme ways, I guess you must know that name comes from the song which belong to THE BORUNE'S ULTIMATUM ^^, the Extreme Ways is suit, sorry I don't know whether I'm using the right word, but I mean... I set everything except the toolbar button in the Extreme Ways, so it work with toolbar button not with Bookmarks toolbar and other tabs, you see that's very easy, but I can't write too much in the about window, because it's too small and I want it clean in it, and the other reason is people are smart enough to know this, if they don't know at the beginning, then they will learn to know when they do it wrong for a while...
I re-made a lot of stuff in the RC5 ( tabs including ), maybe it will work with the Tab Mix Plus this time, I'm not sure, because I'm using the Tab Mix Lite CE not Tab Mix Plus...
I think I'll upload the new version tomorrow... and 1.0 will be in AMO, soon...

It sounds to me like the user can only select 1 Toolbar Button style at a time. Why not use Radial Buttons instead of Checkboxes? This would mean that a user would only be able to 'select' one option within each category (when only one item should be chosen.)
I'm going to check out Tab Mix Lite CE, now, maybe I can live without TabMixPlus Hopefully compatibility will be achieved with TMP though *crosses fingers*

yeah, some people ask me the same question, why I don't use radio on it, the reason is complicated, actually radio comes into my mind first, but as you can see, I must set a default style in it, or people who don't know computer much won't get anything if they don't know how to get the subskins, although it's easy... and when you use Camino, you don't need to check anything in the toolbar button, bookmarks toolbar, tabs and Extreme Ways, right? and when you want to use others, you can feel free to make yourself a combination of them, imagine that when you are using the Extreme Ways, you don't need to check the bookmarks toolbar and the tabs, and if you don't want to use Extreme Ways, you can just check the toolbar button, bookmarks toolbar and tabs, or even you don't check them, it would be Camino, so radio can't use on this situation, or it's like you must use Extreme Ways, blue bookmarks toolbar and netscape tab at the same time, this is not what it suppose to be... menulist can handel this situation, but it would make people miss read something in the about window, so I want it clean and full with one glance.
so this is why I use checkbox, people will know what they can't check at a same time:D

was it a conscious decision to not have the 'X' for the sidebar? that actually got my brain a bit fried until i realized that that was what was going on.

I've been using this theme and I tried to add the little apple button for the Compactmenu extension without success. Has anyone else tried/succeeded to do this?
I don't want to add Compact muen button into Foxdie, the reason is very simple~
we all put the bookmarks button on the left, and it has a 8px margin-left which like in Safari, but if you are using the compact menu, it should be on the left instead of the bookmarks button, then the bookmarks button can't have that 8px margin-left. and maybe someone will still want to put the bookmarks button on the left of the Compact button, so that will lead to a messing up, which one I should give it with a 8px margin-left, Compact menu button or bookmarks button? that's won't be fair to give anyone of them, with those who don't use Compact Menu, that will be suck if they don't get that 8px margin-left for the bookmarks button...
I know there is the apple icon in some other theme, but you will notice that they don't get the perfect margin and padding as Foxdie, so I won't allow this in-perfection exist in this perfect theme...
If you want Compact menu button, just put that apple image and the code into chrome folder... that's easy
Actually I prefer Hide Menubar, it's better and simple

Understandable... but I'm using the milk button set doesn't have it's own icon, looks like the brushed version is in it's place.
...I hope I don't sound like a whiner 'cause this is a great theme.
