Huh?

1* The drive works great, It makes a spin-down noise when i shut it down, its great...

2* I have my 10 GB HD in too, the 10 GB one still boots... But I don't want that.

SO....

There are two plugs at the bottom of my mother board, one of the IDE cables are connected to my 10GB drive and the other is connected to my Floppy drive CD-ROM and the 80 GB drive. Should I change the cables around so my 10 GB is the slave, and the 80GB one is one the primary side?

Will my CD-ROM drive still boot the computer, ect... ?

Yes you can still boot from CD if you change the primary master drive. That setting is governed by the bios.

Note:The floppy drive is not on the IDE channel and is independant so ignore it.

So just set:

80GB as primary master

10GB as secondry master

CD-ROM as secondry slave

you will need to change the jumper settings at the back of each drive their easy to spot and usually labelled, master,slave,cable select (ignore that last one).

Also swap the cable so the 80Gb is connected to the primary IDE channel and the 10GB is connected to the secondry where the CD-ROM is still on but remember to change the master/slave jumper settings.

And thats it your done.
