I'm looking to find a way to mirror text vertically in order to create a 'reflection' effect similar to that of the text icons I am using for my dock.
The attached image should be obvious. I've already created a mask to 'fade' the 'reflected image', I just want to see if there is some way to flip the text. Sysstats already provides a rotation ability for the text but this is not what's needed here....
Any ideas?? I appreciate any input anyone can offer. Thanx.
You'll have to use a com object such as ImageMagik or script GDI using AutoIt or AutoHotKey.
Try a negative height.
So, reverse the text, then rotate and do negative height?
Just wondering as I don't have access to AveDesk/SysStats atm.
Negative height only. Causes the GDI+ renderer to interpret the image as flipped.

SirSmiley - I thought it may have had to be something like this. Some kind of script. I searched for such a thing but honestly I'm not that skilled to have pulled it off myself anyway.
Also tried rotating, upsidedown fonts, mirrored fonts etc. Obviously limited font choices, and didn't work anyway.
AndreasV - You got it! I would have never guessed that this could be done so easily. Your programmers perspective was invaluable!
I managed to use the SCALE function with a -1 on the Y axis to flip the text to get the reflection effect I was looking for. Thanks so much!
