I currently run the 32-bit version of Windows XP Professional on my Dell Inspiron 1501. It can run 64-bit, because I run the 64-bit version of Ubuntu on it as well. It runs nice.
So I was thinking about taking the plunge to reformat and reinstall Windows to the 64-bit version.
I know the technical differences from 32-bit and 64-bit, but I want to know what I would benefit from if I did this. What are the ups and downs of running a 64-bit version versus a 32-bit version?
