Aqua-Soft Forumsim new to itunes .. so i have 2 questions, when you import songs into itunes .. does it create duplicate music files on your harddrive ? .. if so .. then how can i make it NOT do that ...

iTunes duplicating files?
It will, only if you select to let iTunes manage your library (I believe it is now an option when you install it).
If you want to turn it off, Preferences -> Advanced tab -> General -> uncheck the two top checkboxes.
Remember that iTunes will need access to the files so if the device is removable (MP3 CD, network drive, et cetera, it will mark it with a red exclamation mark to denote that it cannot play the file), and it will not recognize when you move a directory or file.
