Problems with Aero Weather (1.0)

Since a couple of days I have been trying to make this desklet (see http://www.avedesk.org/desklets/information/) to work, but I can't, in the "How to Install" the author talks about .rar files, but the file is .aveinst, so I opened it as .aveinst, and it showed the "Aero Skin for Scribbler" picture, then I added a new desklet from Control Panel (like instruction says) but the Weather didn't change at all, so I did everything again, this time changes the extension for .rar, and unziped it into the folder the instructions says, but didn't work either, I really like the way it looks, some help would be very appreciated.

You need to have AveScripter installed to use this.

.aveinst should execute if you double click it. It should then installed correctly. Assuming that you have registered the avedesk correctly.

Otherwise, you can unzip the files into the desklet/avescripter directory.

To change the weather, you'll notice a icon on the bottom right (I think) that will only appear when you move your mouse over it.

What do you mean by weather doesn't change?

Yeah, I do have AveScripter. I think it auto-installed correctly, it made a new folder in:

C:Program filesAvedeskDeskletsScribblerSkinsAero which is not the Avescripter directory.

Should I unzip it manually into the avescripter directory (which is C:Archivos de programaAvedeskDeskletsAveScripter)?

The problem is that it currently looks like Weather.bmp and not like Aero Weather.bmp (see attached files)

Hi Pollo,

sorry for the all trouble you've been having - as g510 says, it appears the incorrect file is linked on the AveDesk site.

PCM: could you please link to the correct file? It should be linked to "Aero Weather.zip" PM sent

Thanks
