Kodachi

Hello all,

I am releasing version 0.5 of Kodachi, which was designed to work like QuickSilver on the Mac; you know what an awesome application QuickSilver is!

Well, Kodachi is open-source, free, offers some of QuickSilver's goodness. And I am looking for people to test the alpha release.

I am not the original author, but I unofficially (as in "I am not sure I want to be the new maintainer yet") created this release in agreement with the interim leader.

Please, let me know whether you like it and what bugs you find/how it can be improved.

Have the earlier speed problems fixed in any way? That was the main reason I couldn't use it much earlier.

Since I took over, I haven't seen a single speed problem. However, I remember reading about this elsewhere.

Would you mind helping me by describing what configuration you had done, that made it slow?

This program isn't usable for me. Indexing the Start Menu was fine, but after I added Documents and told it to index a variety of stuff like word documents, excel spreadsheets, music, text files, and images, processor usage went to 100% instantly and it took 3 minutes to launch Task Manager and kill it.
