Here's my sad tale:
Microsoft Word wouldn't open for me, so I decided to restart. Perhaps this wasn't the best choice because now my Powerbook G4 won't move past the gray apple with the little spinning cogwheel.
After perusing several different troubleshooting forums, I have tried zapping PRAM, resetting NVRAM, and booting in safe mode to no avail. I ran fsck which indicated that my HD was okay. I rebooted in verbose mode (?) and it tells me over and over that the loginwindow is crashing: "crashdump [###]:loginwindow crashed". I saw this log when I reset NVRAM, too.
Does anyone know what this means or what I can do to fix it?
Oh, and the other obstacle is that my software is in my apartment in another state =/
I would truly appreciate advice anyone has to offer!!
