Microsoft Access

Hello. I searched but did not find anything quite like what I wanted. I have a friend who is in a computer class, and she is working with Access (what a joy), and she cannot get to SAVED files; it pops up with a message about "enabling" something, she said.

Does anyone know anything? I want to say you have to have a specific folder set for retrival in Access, correct?

It is Access 2007 Trial Edition (she got it for her comp. class).

It is saying that it is a "security" issue...

I do believe it has to do with Macros, but not 100 percent sure.

A little more info would be helpful. Files stored locally or on a server?

It shouldn't matter if a specific folder is set or not. It may be the Workgroup File isn't set up right?

Also, what version? Give us more information, and we could help. Right now, the situation is very vague.

it pops up with a message about "enabling" something

That's very helpful to understand the problem now, isn't it?

Unless you give any specific information, it will be very hard for anyone to come up with solution.

Anyway, as far I can "guess" my best guess... I think that pop-up should be talking about either enabling macros or VB for application (a standard issue which I've seen across office). But that's just a guess. If you can confirm exact error message, then it would be great.
