Yes, it seems these do contain tiger stuff and hence are probably ripped. Can somebody confirm that, are they really what they seem?

Just replace the folder icon in the Flyakite Resources folder--->Shell32 dll folder and run Force system file update

Well let's see... since SP3 for Windows XP hasn't been released yet (still in RC1 status), I would guess the answer is no. 
It works for me. I had FAK 3.5 running on a friends computer which was recently updated to SP3. Everything worked fine...but then again FAK was installed prior to upgrading to SP3 so....I don't know
Your friend is a brave person.
SP3 is HUGE (336MB). Any mods FAK did to the systems files would have been over written by the SP 3 install.
Most likely he did it afterwards.
even with the files being overwritten, FAK's system files updater would have kicked in (presumably,) and done it's thing... the success of which is what I was curious about.

~ install FAK3.5 on SP2 and update to SP3 RC1
~ update SP3 RC1 and then install FAK3.5

Don't forget FAK repatchs the system files when updated. At least FAK 3.5 does this in my XP everytime I update something.
It's all very well to talk of sp3 and fak....But can somebody confirm whether kampongboy's sstuff iss ripped???

to bjorn: In which program have you changed icons in the shell32? I tried to use yours but i am czech , using czech windows and your shell is renaming disks and some other things to unknown symbols. I would like to try change my shell...
Reshacker...That's the most popular app for editing resources in exes and dlls. Google for it and for tutorials (there's probably a tut on this very site)
Reource Hacker. My windows is german. But I do not guess it can change disks. Though I do not know about languages and fonts or whatever in shell32. As I said I just changed the symbols for my own, as some applications use the shell32 for icons. For normal use I have IconPackage installed.
