[help] Desktop Icons 128*128 Or 256*256 How ?!

Hi,

I'm a ****ie :rolleyes: and I have a question. Is there's any option or software that can enlarge my desktop icons to 128*128 or 256*256?

Icon size can be controlled from the registry as follows;

Run->Regedit-> HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics -> Shell Icon size

set this to whatever number you like, try to use a standard number ...

16, 32, 48, 64, 72, 96, 128, 256, 512 are all workable icon sizes.

128< will be huge, but it can work with high enough monitor resolution!

ok,

go on the start meny -> run -> type in "regedit" ( w/o " " )

-> HKEY_CURRENT_USER\control panel\desktop\WindowMetrics

-> and then open "shell icon size" there u can put in any size of the icons u want.....

that way enlarges all the icons. IS there anyway only desktop icons to be enlarged?

Ok here goes! :D you want to get your hands on DestopX there is a new beta out in this progie there is a system called iconX with this you can have 128x128 icons on desktop only or you can use 128x128 png's what ever you wish now is you wish to not use programs to do this you can try this instead. Change your task and start bar to clasic windows with small icons then add this to your registry.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics]

"IconSpacing"="-2400"

"IconVerticalspacing"="-2400"

"Shell Icon BPP"="32"

"Shell Icon Size"="128"

you could just copy this and save as a .reg file then install it this will make all your icons 128x128 but in clasic mode on your start bar it will still be small. Now for the folders you can change the view to tiles this would take away the 128x128 icons and bring them down.

get program open it up add new object in object pref do it at 128x128 size and your all set.
