anyone get the temp desklet to work inside the us, its kinda dinky, Country and Town heh. no state to set and im sure there is a Town in the US named the same as mine, so all that shows up is my town name and n/a,??.
Definent potential.
I got the weather display to work by changing the url fetched by the
weather.display file. Just open it up and look for the line where wget fetches
the web page. Replace the url with the url from weather.yahoo.com for
your town. Note that the name of the town displayed on the app depends
on what you enter on the config screen.
Oops! I meant to say that you make the changes in the Weather sensor,
specifically the file __init__.py in the /.gdesklets/Sensors/Weather directory.
Nice I often wondered about an app like that. Too bad I just installed Suse 8.2 cause I wanted to check it out and have to redo my Debian setup. So far I've run into a few issues while configuring the source but will probly have it up later so I can check it out. *shakes head* shoulda left my debian install up even though it needed to be redone lol.
