Aqua-Soft Forumsis there any such app that copies the Leopard time machine? because I need something similar, I want to keep track of ALL of my files...

not really, it does not recover lost user files, and everything goes wrong when you use it, remember, its a microsoft program.
Uhh, I used to use it all the time, nothing wrong happened here. and I did recover my lost files that I by mistake deleted xD

For me, I put important files into a folder and I run da uber "backup.bat" script that calls xcopy just before I go to bed

If you really want this feature, you need to upgrade to Windows Vista to take advantage of Shadow Copies. You won't find any such feature or add-on for Windows XP.

well, its still stupid, what if the PC cant boot to windows???? Its useless, and it corrupts the data that you have and makes a mess....

What if you can't boot into OS X? Huh? Yeah... you're ****ed. Really.
It works the same on a Mac as it would Windows. Get your restore CD, and RESTORE THE COMPUTER.

What he wants is... A program that functions exactly like Time Machine and looks (UI) like it, but on Windows XP.
Sigh... I wonder if he is ever going to see daylight.
Bottom Line : There are ways to get close to that functionality, but NO there is NO Time Machine clone for XP and there never will be. I suggest you read this : Road to Mac OS X Leopard: Time Machine, to understand how Time Machine works and why it's not possible to have it on XP (not only UI but also work behind the function). If you're really interested in having backup than something fancy stuff to showoff, System Restore works just fine. It may not give you option to get one single file... but it's better than having nothing. Or just use some third party application for backup. These days quite some external drives comes with one touch backup kinda software. Get those.
One more suggestion : Get out of your basement some times, and see world in sunlight and breath some fresh air. It's good for mind and body.

1-button-ghost of your harddrive and another button to restore it in Vista's DVD, this is the easier part. And it rocks 
BTW, the backup isn't available in the same form in all Vista versions. I only tried the one in Ultimate I think it's the same unless you got home basic.
