Why was Y'z Dock discontiued? Was it because it indeed came to the closest version of the real dock, and with that the features of the docklets?
Every article I read about Y'z end (supposively from Apple) it didn't really state "why" 100% it was forced into retirement.
My opinion, the docklets.
ObjectDock is awesome, no doubt about that, been using it a long long time. But now we're treading on ice that might be getting thinner and thinner.
What if Apple pulls the same crap with OD as it did with Yz?
The dock has become a must on my PC. All of OD's expire, what if it too is forced to a doomed end, .95 expires. . .no more dock.
Just afraid that's all.
I can't lose my dock man. ObjectDock is nice and neat, stable, doesn't use "too" much system resources, is useful, and a must on all machines. But when this one expires, its done and done. Always considered it better than Y'z mainly because it didn't try and BE the real Dock, it was its own creation, and it was useful in its OWN right, thus why it's allowed to continue in progress.
Is there anyway to keep it the way it is with .95, and release a .99 Docklet version too?
Don't flame me too bad, just possibly thinking for the better interest of the community.
