anyway, you may want to download and burn the free live cd Parted Magic. Works great, been using it for a year or so now.

Use an ubuntu livecd, or any other LiveCD with it, to use the GUI version of Gparted. Its really simple.

I use Parted Magic (Google for it) for all my hard drive related issues. It's a LiveCD with GParted, Thunar and a bunch of other cool apps on it. I prefer it over a full blown LiveCD just because it loads faster and gives me the stuff I need quicker.
