Front Row - Opinions

I was on youtube and I saw a video of the new Leopard Front Row (

) and I thought that it was horrible! I like the menus ect . . . but the entrance is nowhere near as good as the old entrance (desktop fades into background).

Do you think this is just the is a beta build version or what the actual thing is going to be like?

First; it's on youtube, so you can't believe everything that you see.

Second; you don't know what build it is, so it may not have made it to the finalized version of Leopard. Time will tell.

Having said that I agree with you 100%, I don't like the transistion part as much as the older version. Let's hope they didn't ruin a good thing

Having tested an build that isn't so old but isn't quite recent too, this is the current implentation of frontrow in leopard. They just took AppleTV's OS

Well, it seems as if what we have seen IS the real Front Row. . . Such a shame that they have ruined what was a good transition - won't stop me using though lol.

i find the blue menu selection area a bit of an overkill, looks cheep and tacky.

... and I miss the four rotating icons. but i guess as you add more features you have to go for usability.

but at least its still snappy and well animated i guess. shame about not having the zooming desktop, but it did take a little too long and was resource hungry to open.
