How do I make this...?

Just wondering how I could make this image (the hundreds of pictures) in PS or GIMP. Mainly the "bendage" of the photos, reflection and what not is easy, I just don't really know how to get them to bend. I tried the "fish warp", and it looked alright but the images were distorted.

in ps. tile your images, merge, reflect, than

Ctrl+t -> warp

the image is distorted for obviouse reasons so try drawing it 2x the size you want the out come, than shrink it down upon completion. also filter->sharpen helps.
