[preview] Icalet (pro)

Hi all,

I've been experiementing with a new idea I have for the iCalet Rainlendar skin.

I've decided that the iCal icons down the side in front of the week numbers do not represent the professional look and feel I would like for my own desktop.

In that line of thinking I have done a quick mock up of what I call 'iCalet Pro".

So without further ado, I submit it for everyones review.

I'd appreciate some constructive feedback.

P.S. I'm sure that the bootie looks good, but I'd appreciate it if you'd look at the calendar.

I really like the PRO version. I does look more professional. I can't wait. Any release time table?? Also do we get the booty with it also ?

I'm glad you like it. As for a time table, I would probably release it sometime this week, it's Monday the 11th here in New Zealand. But I'm not going to hold fast to any schedule as I do not want to burn myself out.

As for the bootie, unfortunately it's not mine to give, but I can send you the picture if you like

You really do fine work, I am always impressed with your releases. I think you are somewhat of a perfectionist when it comes to these things, and it makes your stuff all the more better.

And yes, I do have some perfectionist tendencies, which I why I need to be careful about burning myself out.

After that preview post, I spent 4 hours solid working on the thing and I'm *still* not happy with it.

i personally don't use the week numbers, so i hide them... will there ever be a iCalet skin where that part isn't there?

I will perhaps do a week numberless in the future. It will some time off though as it will require some significant reworking of the skin to accomplish.

Hi all,

Just doing some more design experiements for iCalet Pro.

I may not be doing a Friday release after all.

I'm posting a preview of the new weekless format and I think I may go with this for the overall Pro design.

I have a request of all those interested in this project that may have access to a Mac and/or the real OS X iCal program.

I am aware that iCal can display various coloured bubbles for the different event types that may be assigned to a specific day, week, month, etc.

I need snapshots showing *all* the different colours bubbles that iCal uses *and* an colour map of what color gets assigned to what type of event.

Here's a preview of the newest design.

It's displaying two default events, denoted by graphite bubbles and two birthdays, denoted by two reddish bubbles.

If anyone has a problem with iCalet Pro *not* displaying week number, please let me know now *before* I finalize the background design. You've got 24 hours to cast your vote, after that there will be *no* turning back.

P.S. The overall design philosophy is to reproduce iCal, but in a miniture format.
