[preview] Panther Pro

This is a mod of KoL's excellent Smooth Stripes (Sunken - Graphite). KoL's given me the go ahead to release (thanks mate ). This VS was intially designed as a Panther Pro port, but the author (ImDaMac) wants Panther Pro to be OSX only. This VS was designed and modded using only graphics from SSSunken - Graphite with KoL's permission.

There is also a Gold colour (which is the nicest imho) but its being updated atm and hence not in the screenshot.

Its got a compact start panel btw (yes it will have normal version too)

If you attempting to do a 1:1 copy of Panther Pro then I need to inform you that the scroll bars are incorrect.

I would ask that if anyone does PantherPro that they try to do it 1:1. It really is a wonderful theme and I've seen several attempts to bring it to WinXP, but so far all of them have missed the mark.

Thank you grusic, that pic is *exactly* what I needed!

It's changed a lot already, is much more accurate (colours, caption buttons etc), and with that pic, I can get it even closer to the original.

What do the tabs look like in the real P.Pro (as compared to the Display Properties box in above pic)?

Just a thought, and keep in mind I've never used OSX, so Im not really sure just going by screenies here, BUT, are the inactive and active scrollbars actually different. In the screenie from resexcellence, it appears that way. Is this even possible on XP.

Bose, your scrollbars seem to mimic the "inactive window scrolllbars"

Maybe I am totally wrong, but just a thought

They are the inactive ones...

I don't think the active ones suit the theme, in any way at all. The inactive ones fit in perfectly. So I might leave them as they are (unless I get loads of complaints)

The author of Panther Pro has refused to grant authorisation, reasoning being he wants it to be exclusive to OSX. He has his reasons, its his theme so I respect his decision. I am however, dissapointed.

Not to worry though, KoL gave me permission to mod is Smooth Stripes, so I'll be making my own mod, with original graphics. No rips = no auth requests (bar KoL of course )

Will keep you posted!
