WindowBlinds 6 Released!

Stardock has released the highly anticipated WindowBlinds 6 today. WindowBlinds is a utility that allows users to change the look and feel of the Windows desktop experience by applying skins to the user interface.

WindowBlinds 6 adds the ability to have “blurred glass” window borders on Windows XP which allows artists to make skins that could make Windows XP look virtually identical to Windows Vista. WindowBlinds 6 adds full support for customizing Microsoft’s new Windows Vista operating system.

The new version also adds a host of other features including advanced animation support in skins, adjustable transparency, user-creatable skin sub-styles, a new, easy to use configuration program, user customization options of fonts and colors in skins and much more.

Users who purchased WindowBlinds 5 after February 1, 2007 receive WindowBlinds 6 for free. The enhanced registered version is $19.95 or can be purchased as part of Object Desktop.

This version transfers all the skins to a folder under 'My Documents" , Im afraid to loose or corrupt some in the process since I have so many... Has there been incidents that you know of...

I haven't seen any problems, but you should backup your skins regardless.

The skin folder move has no affect on the skins.

Every one of mine work perfectly.

Depends... if you like to make drastic changes to your GUI, or want to get a real OS X look and feel, yes, it's worth it.

Visual styles are still limited in what you can and can't change. With Windowblinds, you can let your imagination flow.
