Aqua-Soft ForumsQuicksilver is an app that is invisible. What I mean is that If I go +tab, it doesn't show up. How can I do this with other apps?

Well it doesn't really have to do with Quicksilver too much. I was using that as an example. I just want to know how to make an application (for example, MenuShade) not show up when I hit +tab.
Not quite sure why you don't see QS but I definetly see QS after hitting your key combination on my MacPro using 10.4.10.
So, correct me if I'm wrong, but you want to do the following scenario (for example):
Start iTunes. Put on a song. Have the song/album/music/whatever keep playing while you're browsing the 'net, but when you press Cmd + Tab, you don't want to see the iTunes icon.
Something like that?
Easy peasy. Hit Cmd + H on any open application. It'll hide all of the application's windows. Note that this particular command doesn't work in Photoshop (and probably other applications). In that case, just Ctrl + Click on the application's icon in the dock and choose "Hide".
If you're talking about hard-coding it into an application's preferences or something, I don't know how to do that.
Well if you choose that option to not show in dock... I'm taking a screen shot and will post it...
This is quite easy to do, and you can do it to any cocoa app on OS X.
Just right click on the app and click "show bundle contents"
Then edit the file info.plist to add
LSUIElement
And the app's icon won't show up in the dock anymore or alt-tab
Still doesn't work. I have MenuShade and I dont' want menushade to show up when I click +tab. I've tried the +h thing... doesn't work tried adding the lsuielement thing... doesn't work. Does it matter if the icon is already in the dock?
It should work, have you tried restarting the app after you made the change, and also make sure the change is still there in the file, because sometimes apps resist you changing there info.plist file and you might have to do it more then once for it to stick.
One last thing make sure it is after
