The story of a PowerBook G3 233Mhz

Well, I have a story that happened to me in this month, not very happy, but gave me a lesson.

Ok, I was looking for a very cheap PowerBook G3 laptop, I wanted one because I liked them, So there was this auction on eBay that no one had a bid on, 20 minutes left, no one had bid, 10 minutes left, no one had bid, 1 minute left, no one had put a bid, so I did, watching the auction every single second, I won... for 30 dollars I won the Laptop, It was a PowerBook G3 with 233Mhz 32MB of Ram, 12 inch screen... I was happy, I sent the money order and every thing was going perfectly, the laptop dint include an AC adapter so I ordered one, sent the money order and got one, but I received the laptop first, then a week later the AC adapter, with so much excitement, I turned the laptop on, when the AC adapter arrived. but suddenly... the lower right section of the screen was black when I turned the laptop on... it was a dead section of the screen... I was unhappy, then when the laptop booted, and I saw the about this mac screen, it said it had 32MB of ram... something went wrong, very wrong... they ripped me off on eBay... first they told me the incorrect amount of RAM, and they never told me about the screen... it had 32MB of ram, so you may say "so what?", well, this model was the one that had no backside cache, and a weird 12 inch screen, so I got ripped off, I was thinking I had the good model, which was released later by Apple and had a backside cache, and it was faster, which was the 64MB model, but they lied on eBay... so then I had to used an external monitor to use the powerBook, and so, I did and it worked perfectly, then something happened again... I woke up from sleeping on this Friday, ready to use PowerBook with an external monitor, and then BANG!!!! my heavy window Blinds fell on PowerBook and made a medium size hole on the screen... I was really unhappy, then I had to take action, I dump it, on the garbage, I said "I had enough, PowerBook had to go..." I dint dump it because I hate it, I had to because it was useless...

It was very cheap, and it was to good to be true... So, I have learned the moral, never buy things that are very cheap, and research the situation first....

But you know, I still want a laptop, now I need your help, give me a suggestion, what should I do, should I buy another Apple laptop for 100 dollars? or should I save 1000 dollars for a MacBook? I do want a laptop, but I want in on black, because it looks professional... so what should I do, save money? Note, I am very poor, so I cant buy something right away....

So people, please look what your buying on eBay, and really look at the feedback of the seller that is selling you the laptop on ebay...

I ordered pizzahut tonight for dinner, and it cost more than that power book. Theres the first sign in knowing when not to buy a computer.

Save your money. try not to buy from unknown, unrespected, uncertain members on ebay.. Also try getting get a macbook/pro, dont settle for a shitty slow computer,

Sorry about your ebay rip off experiance lol,

I know, eBay can be bad, I ordered from a company that recycles computers on eBay... I like the MacBook Pro, its professional, I will see If I can save, but I do know It will take billions of years... But thats okay, I can always emulate leopard...

I decapitated my 15in Titanium Powerbook. Broke the monitor right off. xD

Now it's an exceptionally thin GhettoMac desktop edition.
