I've been here in Phoenix for the last 20+ years though with a brief move to St. Louis for about a year. To humid there, but that's where my family lives.

I was born in Toronto, then my family moved between, Abu Dahi and Saudi Arabia (**** UAE) and lived there for 4 years. Then moved to Conn for a couple of months, then back to Toronto.

As a long haired hippie myself I used to wonder how someone could not have heard of Ashbury or Grateful Dead and still be native to this planet -- but nowadays I simply admit I don't know nothing of Bollywood either. (Apart from Shah Rukh Khan)

Then every year some hundreds are joining who will never be able to tell the Beatles from the Stones and be a very part of A-S. Interesting community isn't it? And truly global.

I've encountered this substantially in my life. Growing up (kinda) in the 60's and 70's, a lot of what I consider music standards have become oldies or classics. But hey...music never dies. It just changes format.
