Windows 3.1 Boot Disk

I can't seem to find a straight answer;

I need a Windows 3.1 Bootable Floppy Image, so that I can add the boot image to my ISO that I created; so thus it could be booted in a VM.

I was wondering if there were any around. If not; what would I need to get the ISO bootable?

EDIT:

I know that I need to be running DOS first to install Windows. But after the DOS installation; whats next?

Im a little tedious to ask if there is a tutorial around since its so old....but if any info is available please share.

yep, looked there....I didn't see any Win3.1 Boot Disks. What would I be looking for at that site?

You should be looking at any DOS 5 or 6.22 capable boot disk.

Win 3.1 is a Shell, not an OS, so it's impossible to "boot" into it.

Windows didn't become an OS until Windows NT was introduced.

can I use freeDOS or does it need to be MSDOS? I assume it's the latter?

I now run Windows 3.11, Windows 95, Windows 98SE, and continuing!

I loved Win 3.11. It was the most stable version of Windows I've ever owned, and I've had Windows 2, 3.x, 95, 98, 98SE, 2000, Me (still bitter on that one), XP and Vista.

I've still got my original install disks somewhere. You think it'll work on my MBP?

You only need Dosbox to get it running on your existing setup (Linux, windows, whatever)

I got the original disks from 3.1 all the Way to Vista! Plus some extra ones that are burned so that I didn't need any boot floppies. But; its way to complicated to list... but on general:

Windows XP MCE

Windows Vista Home Basic

Windows Vista Home Premium

Windows Vista Ultimate
