Miranda IEView Error

On certain skins like MiniBubble 2, whenever someone types a message, i receive an Internet Explorer Script error stating that an object was apparently expected. It asks me if i want to continue running scripts on the page or if i want to stop. I don't know what the problem is...can anyone help me?

Miranda uses the IE engine to display the messages. Open up IE, go to Tools-->Internet Options, and there's a setting somewhere in there you need to change. Sorry I can't be more descriptive!

My Guess is that u have a broken smiley-link. Check your logs to see exactly what happens.

I had this error, too but there's an really easy solution to fix that: Just install the newest version of IEView and it should work fine again :). I'm using IEView 1.0.9.10 and have no problems with it.

And yes, it is because of IE7^^

Edit: You can get the latest version here: http://addons.miranda-im.org/details.php?a...iewfile&id=1788

i am using 1.0.9.10...i dont know what's wrong...

It's probably because of Internet Explorer 7. (As DZGH pointed out)

If you have it, downgrade back to IE6.

i thought about that, but i realised that so many people had problems upgrading to IE 7...why would downgrading be any safer? how do i know that my ntoskrnl.exe file will be safe?

IEView uses the IE engine. Internet Explorer 7 produced errors on programs that relied on it, such as IEView for Miranda, Gaim, Trillian, etc. Downgrading back to IE6 is, as far as I know, the only way to get IEView working again.

It all depends all how bad you want your Miranda convos to look nice.

I had this issue in the past and as I sad, it was a broken Smiley link.

it can't be because it happens for every message (incoming out outgoing). Even when i start up the conversation window, it happens.
