DIY iPod Skin?

Hi!

(I first of all apologize if this is not the right forum)

I was wondering if any of yall had thought of this, and if there are any negative effects of...

making a clear iPod skin out of clear packing tape.

I was doing my Homework, and saw a roll, I put it on, and VOLIA! its a skin!

does anyone know if this harms the iPod?

(I have a 1G 1GB nano, BTW)

(BTW; I wouldnt really make it uber-detailed; mainly for the chrome on the back)

(Slewed; I am only doing one pass, since standard clear packing tape is wide enough.

Tape? as in you made multiple passes over it?

i would have used clingfilm.

By covering the ipod you are lowering its ability to remove heat. Under normal operation this does not matter, it might only be noticeable when charging it. My 5G iPod overheats for many reasons, but i can't think why a nano would, since it doesn't play videos or have a hard drive.

I'd like to see pictures of this work. Make sure you don't leave it anywhere too warm now!
