I'm new here and I am lately thinking about buying a laptop but whit Linux, i just don't know if some programs wont work in it like in windows. So can i buy a laptop whit Linux and work in it like windows?

What programs do you need to use? Most Windows programs have Linux counterparts. As far as using Linux for a computer you need to use the internet on, office type documents, etc. Linux works very good for that.
For what it is worth, Windows software (.exe and .msi installers) do not work in Linux. You need its Linux counterpart, or alternative software.
For example; Microsoft Office is not compatible with Linux. Instead, use alternative software, such as OpenOffice.
Kaelron e Phantom_Lord, thanks for the explanation any way i meant apps like photo shop, cd burners, internet browsers like firefox, WIW apps like winrar and winavi. And also i would like to now it i can link my nokia cellphone and sony psp to it.

FireFox is included with Ubuntu.

erm, custom applications for custom devices won't really be likely to have a linux equivilant, you could try using WINE (WINE-Is-Not-an-Emulator) to use a program native to windows in linux but it probably won't be supported.
IMHO the best IMing app for Ubuntu/Linux in general is Pidgin. It is written with GTK.
also; you don't have to buy a computer with linux installed. Linux is free after all. Download + Burn + Install. There you go, a Linux computer.
If you like Windows as well then do a dual boot, having both Ubuntu and Windows on your computer.
