myBoard, the Mac OS X Dashboard on Vista

This is a .NET 3.0 application, setting the opacity of the host application will use software rendering which is incredibly slow. GDI calls is not an option way to much code involved, and this is not the WPF way of doing things.

It wouldn't be complicated for me to create a myBoard package compatible with XP so you guys can realize how slow this is. If you really want to see by yourself, let me know

pleace make a XP package!!!!

(btw I don't think it will be slow on my PC ( it would be the first program and I have autodesk 3DS Max 9^_^>))

Well I'm kind of busy with my work these days so it's kind of hard for me to release a new version of myBoard.

But myBoard SDK is out, so I'm not the only one who can create magnets

Try to submit magnets idea here or one the official forum, and maybe a developer will do it ...

Wow. This is great. Works exactly like Macs dashboard. The reponse is even very fast. Only real issue I have with it, is that it is kind of a resource hog (50mb) but what a great software.

I hope that this doesn't die because it has a lot of potential.

myBoard Pre Alpha 0.7 now available !

Yep, that’s right, I’m back in business with this new release of myBoard which, by the way, is now an Open Source project under GPL license. Full source code is available here.

So, what’s new in Pre Alpha 0.7 ?

Bouncing effect added when you drop a magnet in myBoard.
Mouse activation with “None” bug fixed.
Memory leak with portfolio fixed.
Bug causing crash when hiding myBoard for the first time is fixed.
Hour needle in the clock magnet now moves smoothly.
Message window now has a maximum height which prevents it to take the entire screen when an exception is thrown.
And as usual a few other things I can’t remember

Do you have any previous version of myBoard installed ?

Can you try to install .NET Version Detector 2007 and tell me what version of .net is detected on your computer ?
