Miranda Transparency - Status Icons/Contacts

I am sure this has been asked a million times, but I cannot find a clear cut answer or the thread is old and no links work, plus some parts of the Miranda site is down.

How can I make my Miranda status icons/contacts look like this?

I have the following Miranda version and plug-ins (including others) that might be of interest, if it helps:

Miranda 0.6.8

clist_modern 0.4.2.36

tweakui 0.0.0.4

I've heard you can do it with TweakUI, by selecting Translucency and leave contacts opaque at 30% or with clist_nicer+ (I cannot find nicer+). But, when I select those options with TweakUI, it doesn't work.

I think you need a transparent clist modern skin or need to use clist nicer+. Clist nicer+ has build-in translucency options (like TweakUI).

You can find latest vers clist nicer+ in Miranda base pack.

I placed this dll file into 'Plugins' folder and it doesn't show up. Miranda was closed when I extracted it there, plus I restarted as well.

Well, this is unicode version from official contrib pac. And it works fine for me. Ask on plugin support forum if you have latest client build.

^^ Do you maybe have an older version of clist_nicer+? It seems a few others were having issues as well with this version.

I've been trying to do the exact same thing as you, JR007 for quite some time.

I'm having the same issue with this version from the Contrib back.

I managed to find an older version of clist_nicer+, which shows up in the plugin list, but when activated and restarted, I get a message of "Could not load profile xxx.dat, try installing dbx_3x.dll". Obviously this plugin is in there already.

I've tried redownloading and reinstalling Miranda as well as all of my plugins but still no luck.

I'm tempted to post on the Miranda support boards, but I'm not sure if they're stable yet.

I guess I'll follow this where it goes.

Miranda opens by default with the clist_modern plugin. After switching to clist_nicer, the list is nonfunctional and opening the options causes the immediate crash.

So, this setup is unusable.

Hi,

1. You can use a Miranda skin without a background! (with clist modern plugin)

2. You easily use a normal skin and go the Miranda options -> Contact List -> Window -> Transparent contact list
