I second that request, Would love to see extra option in skin... Unified (Cold Metal) background for toolbar instead of Pinstripe?
I am pretty sure Timan has addressed this numerous times. The style of Aqua-Soft will not be changed until the look of Leopard is finalized. Id est, not until Leopard is released.
Can't make anything look like leopard till its final and on peoples machines.
Also there is a tiny chance it may not come out to be a leopard skin... if it still looks like shit at release I might just do an updated version of Aqua.

I don't hate it, but I'm Not a fan of it either. Once it comes out I'm using shapeshifter to make it look like Tiger

I hope they won't make a Shapeshifter theme so that people will learn to like the Leopard UI. I am pretty sure that todays beta Leopard is not the final UI, there's more to come and people will like the UI after they use Leopard and won't switch to a Tiger UI. Why go back to the past?

I am really excited about Leopard. It's time to update Aqua (Aqua here when Leopard arrives and Aqua there in Leopard).

Why not make the titlebar theme brushed.
I believe that brush is mixed with tiger's finder,
and leopard's finder.
You guys (Staff members) can get it on a preview page and if u don't like
it we can stay with aqua!

After six hours, I eventually got this
Looks weird 'cause apparently #toolbar uses a 1x4px image and repeats it as a pattern, so using a gradient won't work. (Either that, or my very limited CSS knowledge doesn't know how to get it not to be a pattern)
But yeah, if people want me to release it, I'll fix up the icons and the rollup widget; as well as get rid of the pinstripe.
BTW, does anyone know wtf is with my search bar? It's always been like that..
Your searchbar problem is with FireFox -- i had it too.. The font you are using with it makes it that way so that the font renders properly.
I might be talking out of my ass, but changing the font in FF fixed the problem for me.
imo leopard folders are so dull, and leopard itself is just a mess, its all up to Timan thoughm Ra what you could do is show us this "space theme" that you always want, wip it up it would be interesting
