MP3 Conversion Software

Hello!

I'm looking for some kind of software that changes bitrate and sample rate for mp3s.

I've only come up with Switch, which can only change the bitrate, but I really nead to be able to change sample rate as well.

Have you got any suggestions? (Free and simple would be perfect)

Have you tried Audacity? there is both a PC and Mac version. It also comes in a portable version too. Oh and it's free.

If you want to use shareware there is Goldwave, I use it at work. Nice and simple too.

try SUPER, in fact if you need to do anything, try SUPER...google it...its SUPER..

i thought iTunes could change sample rate too..

Hmnn, I'd go for dBpoweramp Music Converter. It's fast, clean and integrates completely into the shell, and of course it lets you change bit- and samplerate.

It's not freeware though, upgrading to the powerpack and mp3 encoding is 18$, but I honestly believe it's worth every penny.
