Leopard's Looks.

Well, I am still sure Leopard and beyond will be amdired for their looks. Leopard is just a beginning of a "Space" theme OS.
A change in itself is not a big deal. A change for the better is a nice one. But a change for the worse...Ugh! Plastic! Where's good old aqua?

Apple perhaps is making Leopard more glossy and the iTunes 7 scrollbars wouldn't fit in. Cover Flow scrollbars is the way to go.
SmoothStripes is the way to go, IMO...
I for one really like the new GUI in Leopard, although I'm still glad we have programs like ShapeShifter.

At least you would probably like the Cover Flow scrollbars more than iTunes 7 scrollbars. If I was in command at Apple of what to do about Leopard, I would add Cover Flow scrollbars and make the UI more black glossy so Leopard will look more like "Space".
what's up with you and space man?
Space is the new Aqua. Space is the way to go with Leopard. It's a fresh new start just like the introduction of Aqua near a decade ago.
unfortunately, i cant seem to argue with you, because the majority has seem to have won...but im sure people like Levi will side with me when i say this: leopard is just plain ugly, with our without "coverflow" scrollbars and the iTunes 7 like interface.

I used to want iTunes 7 scrollbars but I want Cover Flow scrollbars now. Another thing Apple should change is to make the transparent menu bar more transparent as it will be more easy on the eyes.
Hopefully, Apple gives a theme choice in the System Preferences for Cover Flow UI.
I do side with you Bapestar!
I dont mind Apple becoming more 'spacey' and moving on from aqua... but that itunes 7 look, is reminiscent of windows 3.1!... its all grey, flat and dull.

Seveney? That could be a possible name for the iTunes 7 UI. I hope Apple will change the UI to something like your Illuminous theme.
seveney...lol....
I stole Liger, from a leopard theme made for tiger...
no disrespect to the creator, I just dont like the UI he's immitating.
I think Liger is funny for several reasons...
Liger is Napoleon Dynamite's favourite animal, and quite frankly, it sux as bad as his drawings...
Tiger, Panther, Jaguar.... they all sound meaty.... but Liger?... its just not as cool...
sounds like a failed product on Apple's behalf, and would accurately describe Leopard's new UI.

Because of the iPhone. iPhone took away a lot of resources. Apple still might surprise us and make the UI in Leopard better.
Seems that Apple wants to synchro it's ui with their new iMacs, look at the new leopard apple menu, it's like on the new iMacs.
Levi : Make your theme with an substyle like liger's menubar + apple logo (except the white menus, keep your dark ones
) and it will be super extra c00l
(sometimes the menubar you have doesn't blen well with wallpapers)
What would it be with toolbar buttons a little more rounded ?
EDIT : OW didn't see it was released x( Gotta reboot from Linux to try that theme (and GAIA btw
)
If apple goes on I will really have to buy ShapeShifter (could live without it for the moment with Uno & Cats)
Maybe they will change. Remember Apple's first tiger screenshots ? Glyphs were intact in final build ![]()

I still like the black glossy apple logo on the menu bar. Apple probably messed up on the UI. They wanted to go with a black glossy UI and instead they went with iTunes 7 UI (which I still like but I like Cover Flow UI better).

Uh... No. They obviously intended to go with the more plastic look of iTunes 7. They didn't "mess up," it was an intentional choice.

Apple might still have a trick up their sleeve and make a new UI that none of us have seen. It's possible.

Yeah they might have not shown it in the Beta because they know people will put it on the internet and everyone will see it. They want to trick us...
No, but I like the look of vista. So my opinion is probably a far shot from all of you.
Yea, i don't understand why people hate the Vista UI so much, it doesn't look half bad, i would love to see a Vista x Leopard skin, that would be the dope.

I haven't used/tried Vista so I can't comment on it yet. From the pictures, I actually do like the transparency.
Maybe Leopard will be more transparent. I like transparent stuff and I think it's less eye-straining. I don't understand why people don't like the transparency.
