Can windows read png for icons?

hi,

just wandering if windows can read png for there icons.. im bored of converting them, then finding out they're stupidly small. Or what program will let me convert them without loosing quality.. *note - pngtoico dose not work for me*....

wait...what you're asking is if windows can read PNG's as icons?

They can't. And as long as you put in a 128px PNG, then you're going to get a 128px Icon.

Windows is stupid when it comes to PNG's.
