Help Installing Office for the Mac

Hello how is everyone doing? I have a problem that someone might be able to help me with ok here we go.

I just recently was given a Powerbook g4 Mac OS X version 10.4.3 Memory 256 MB SDRAM :D ... I went ahead bought Microsoft Office mac 2004 the installation process went great but when i try to open Word , PowerPoint etc. it gives me this pop up ... This software is an upgrade to an earlier version of the software to continue installation, click browse, and select the folder that contains the earlier version of the software.. The folder can be located on either your computer or the CD-ROM from wich you originally installed the earlier version of the software.

For information about wich software you can upgrade, see the installation read me ... ????????? any idea why this is?

I looked in the aplications folder and found no other Office installed :( . I deleted the installation i had done and i tried the drag and drop folder to the aplications folder and it installed succesfully that way to... wich in my previous installation i had installed through the step by step method ... Well i went ahead and deleted the folder one more time and rebooted and tried the same install with no succes any help would be great thanks in advanced. DN

Is something wrong with the "the drag and drop folder to the applications folder" method?

try using spotlight to find office files. delete ones in the library folders (be careful) and of course any prior installation folders.

restart your computer, empty the trash and try re-installing.
