.mac info

okay, this is a weird one. a guy at work just confided in me that he thinks his wife is cheating on him. he wants to log into her .mac account without her knowing. i tried to discourage him from that sort of behavior and suggested that he instead talk to her. he seems to think that that's just not a good option. whatever. he already has her .mac info. he just wants to know if there'll be any trace on her end of him logging into her account. he's especially concerned about the possibility of logging into her account at the same time as her. can anyone advise on these points?

while i'm not sure i agree with his tactics, he's an adult and i don't have any problem with giving him the info he wants and letting him make his own decision on what to do with it. especially as i did try to sway him otherwise. hey, i'm here to help!

I don't think there will be any trace, and the chances of her logging into the account the same time as he does is unlikely. He could always call her at home and ask what she's doing to find out if she's on the computer or not.

Without going into details, you could try asking someone from Apple (or seeing if there's anything on other forums).

Most sites don't have a problem if people are logged in twice...I know I've done that on different browsers, for example. However, a service like T-Mobile Wireless HotSpots (like in airports) won't allow two people to be logged on under the same username.
