Mouse profile switching?

A bit of a long shot, but here goes:

I really love the touchpad on my laptop, but sometimes nothing beats using a real mouse. The thing is the touchpad and my bluetooth mouse have very different pointer sensitivity, so when I switch to the bluetooth mouse the mouse pointer is all over the place.

I was wondering if there might be a piece of software or something that would allow me to bypass the tedious operation of having to adjust the mouse properties every single time I switch between the two devices?

What about the tablet control panel? I had something similar happen at school, and I just played around with the tablet settings until it worked the same as the mouse.
