Is there some trick to running this? I double-click on the EXE and nothing happens, so I ran it from a command window - same result...what am I missing?

Erm...

You:

a) Download latest Y'Z dock (0.4.2)

Download Y'Z dock benchmark

c) Start up the dock

d) Run the benchmark executable

e) Answer to a few prompts, and...

f) ...after a few automated mag runs through the dock,...

g) ...the results pop out!

Are you absolutely sure you downloaded and ran the 0.4.2 version? maybe you unpacked it somewhere else and ran the older one instead?

Also, i'm not sure if it changes anything (probably not) but try copying the bechmark exe in your dock's directory and running it from there...

So this benchmark supposedly does work, just not on my system. I get the same problem as the other people, I double click the bench and nothing happens, and yes, I'm running latest dock from the site. Does it not work on SP1 systems or what? There was no read me, no instructions, nothing. Anybody have any idea what is going on?

I have the same problem as the other people that the benchmark just doesn't come up with any prompts. I'm running the new dock (0.4.2) and then I try the benchmark application and nothing happens.

ah there it goes finally, it just takes it awhile to gather the info and if you have problems running the program like I did just right click on it and click on properties and then click on the compatibility tab and set the compatibility mode for Windows 2000. These stats may or may not be very accurate cuz I got photoshop open with a lot of crap cuz I'm still making y'z bg's.

and just a week ago everyone kept yelling how fast and smooth it is...

i wouldn't call 5, 15, 24 etc FPS fast and smooth... but maybe it's just me...

lol nah this thing is lightening compared to those other docks, it's just when I am using just about all my 320mbs of ram for photoshop and processing power EVERYTHING LAGS. Also just yesterday I had so much open in there I filled up my partitioned hard drive which has like a gig of space empty and it got full.......guess I'll need to use partition magic 8 again and transfer more gigs to my XP drive.
