Researcher Blasts Apple for 'Negligent' Patching

I just came across this article that quotes on of the researchers who went public with the iPhone vulnerability last month. He mentions that Apple is lazy with their patches compared to the open source they rely on. This means that anyone can look at the latest bug fixes in the open source patch notes and use that knowledge to exploit the unpatched vulnerability in Apple products (OS X etc.).

Although open source products tend to get patched quite a bit faster than commercial products, Apple needs to pick up the pace for very real security reasons.
