Aqua-Soft ForumsAfter i set the performance, i go to the performance tab, the settings is reseted again.
The quality is changed to "High" and the magnify in and out indicators are at the very left-side.
Anyway to save the settings?
Save Performance settings
reinstall.
It works for me. 
The only other way I can think of is edit the conf file, then save that.
Remember to close launcher first.
Locate the RKLauncher.conf, open it in notepad, scroll to the bottom, make your changes to Performance ie high, Transition = 1 etc.
Save and close.
Start Launcher again
See how you get on that way.
Oh, boy! The latest build eh? Believe it or not, but i had the same problem, but on the EXCLUSIONS List, i downgraded to 0.4 beta and never had a prob. BUT, in the other hand there is something going on, and I Believe it has a solution.
If you don't want to do this, State your problem in the RK Launcher Bug reports thread.
PS~~It may be a bug from the build, it is only beta.

when i open the rklauncher.conf file, i don see any 'Performance' there.
and previously..i also have the save error..which i use the method that the other thread stated
So what your saying is your getting a "save error" when you try to save the conf file?
Ok, next suggention then is re-name the conf file to a .txt file. Open it, add the code that I've included (this is from my dock), at the bottom fo the file, save and close. Then rename the file back to a .conf again.
I assume I don't need to tell you to make sure your dock isn't running first.
