There are many duplicate processes in my computer

there is many duplicate processes in my computer for some reason. what can cause it?, how can i solve this?

multiple svchost processes are normal, as each has a group of services running.

The multiple YahooWidget processes indicate multiple widgets... I think, as I haven't used it in a long time.
