Aqua-Soft ForumsI am running AveDesk 1.3 on two notebooks, both running Win XP. The home machine is an IBM ThinkPad T41 and the work machine is an IBM Thinkpad T42.
I have been trying to get a Mac look and feel for both machines. The problem I am having is with AveDesk desklets locking up on the work machine. It appears to be linked to frequently putting the machine in and out of standby mode, since I tend to go frequently from my desk where the notebook is in its docking station to meetings when I have to undock and put it in standby mode.
What happens is this: after a couple of cycles into standby and back, some of the desklets quit responding. Double clicking on them or right-clicking to get the menu simply doesn't work. The funny thing is that AveDesk is still working fine and some of the desklets are still functional. I can right click on either the AveDesk icon in the system tray or on another desklet that is still working and get the AveDesk control menu and kill the offending desklets. After a few cycles of this however, the whole AveDesk application ends up crashing.
Has anyone else seen this? It only seems to happen on my work notebook despite the fact that both are very similar models. I think this is due to the frequent use of the standby mode on the work machine. The two machines have similar environments set up on them. Both are running, in addition to AveDesk, Rocketdock and Landvermesser Finderbar.
