Well the title says it all can you or can you use custom emotes for ichat cause i really dont like the current deafult ones expessaily the touge pokey one 
it looks really werid almost like its implying im smoking something.

I'm not entirely sure but I do think that the emoticons that ichat uses can be easily found by right clicking on iChat.app and clicking show package contents, and among the images, they should be there.. I think. Sorry that I couldn't be of any solid help, I hope this helps at least a bit.
i finally figured out what you meant and i think ive got it. I found very hazy images that seem to resemble ichat smiles.

Quick up date i did mange to get my custom emotes in and working but i had to replace the deault ones with my ones but with the same file names also two more small things couldnt find a way to change the trigger and the quick emotes menu at the bottom of the chat window is crazy crowed but thats probley cause im using 32x32 pixles instead of 18x18

It sounds like it might provide you with some more iChat options. (Sorry I couldn't check it out but I'm not on a mac right now) Hope this helps too.
no such luck Bob Bobbio it lets you disable and enable smileys but not add customs but still its not a bad little program i can see some potental for that chat bubble changer thingy
also do you know if there is a forum this guy uses for feed back id like to make a suggestion
