Anyway, there is software for OS X that will extract self extracting zip (.exe) files if that is what it is.
I think that The Unarchiver is one that can do that (http://wakaba.c3.cx/s/apps/unarchiver.html)
Maybe you could check it out.
Just right click it, and choose 'save as'. Then add a .zip to the name, and you should get a zip file. That worked for me.
