Computer Monitor used to play video games?

I have a question. Is it possible to use a Computer Monitor to play video games like a PS2 and Xbox? I know it is possible to have tv channels play but I'm still not quite sure if I can do this. I want a new tv but I don't want to spend all that money on a real tv when I can just get a Monitor for really cheap. This is the monitor I like: Dell

E228WFP doesn't have component/composite input, unless you get cable that connects from your console to analog/VGA or DVI input.. you're out of luck mate.

well you can use a tv.tuner, you can find them everywhere

Is an RCA cable the cable that usually comes out from video game consoles and goes into the tv. A DVI is the standard monitor cable right? Well then, is it possible to have a RCA (in) to DVI (out) converter? Or something like that?
