Driver problems!

I need some help here, its driving me crazy.

My computer asks me to install a driver for every new hardware i plug in. I brought a new LAcie plug and play 500GB hardrive that doesnt come with a driver, and of course it doesnt work.

My new apple keyboard asks for a driver too, and it doesnt work once again.

I tried to use it on my brother's computer and it works without installing no drivers, is there a way to turn off that wizard on my vaio laptop? help me please

The driver should be in the drive included with other softwares i think, but External HD u don't have to have driver to run, just plug & play

when hard drive pluged- in windows should regconize & windows wizard will appear ask u to install ur new hardware/ run the wizard u should be all set. The same as the Apple key board.

And if nothing happen:

1- Try plug in a different port

2- Go to Control Panel : Add hardware [ second one on ur top left]

Thats where im stuck at.

I try to install using the wizard and then this pops up:

"The hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software"

Click back if you have installation media such as a CD - ROM, or if you know the location of the software.

Um, its a plug and play harddrive....same goes for the keyboard.

thanks for your reply :(

You must've interrupted somehow the first time while windows was trying to install ur hardware, complete shutdown then try plug into a different port before turn the power back on, if the windows doesn't see it you have to use add Add Hardware from the Control Panel.

It's a basic principle, no CD installation needed & ur apple keyboard definitely not, it's not gonna work even if there's a CD for u to install. [Don't forget: u won't receive the same performance as a regular microsoft keyboard, losing some shortcut]

Search for the drivers online as well; I don't know what you'll find for the Apple keyboard, but you should definitely be able to find something for the hard drive.
