Emprex LM2201 Monitor

Just tried it. Its a 22" widescreen, ......and that's about it.....its crap. No monitor driver wont run on anything other than the Plug & Play setting at 60Hz. UTTER RUBBISH

Its a LCD monitor? If so its not gonna run on anything but 60hz

Also when was the last time a Monitor required drivers? Maybe a color profile.

I have an acer at the moment LCD as well and that has an .inf file that really improves the quality. It also runs the graphics at 75 Hz.

Hz doesn't matter on an LCD, because LCDs have no refresh rate, and therefore the frequency of refreshing can't be measured. If one LCD monitor is better quality than another, Hz has nothing to do with it.

Tim.. some PnP monitors do not properly identify their supported screen resolutions to the OS.

That is why some need drivers. My 22" ViewSonic needed drivers to tell Windows it could display HD resolutions. Before the driver install, I couldn't do anything over 1680 x 1050.

and without my graphics driver mine allowed 1600x1200 and 2536x1548 or something..which my screen promptly refused to display.
