Whenever i try to open my folders, with a double click or highlighting and pressing "enter" in explorer, they do not open and a new window opens with the search program. To actually get the folder open i have to right click it and select "open"
Does anybody know how to fix this? it s a big problem when trying to get to a file fast
Go into Control Panel, select Folder Options. On the general tab select restore defaults, then okay.
This should reset things.

i do have flyakiteOSX installed... should i reinstall it? or restart my computer just reset everything?
When you say search program do you mean Windows Search in the tasks sidebar?

Yeah, try a restart. Haven't used Flyakite in over a year but, I'd also check that subforum for answers.
i mean that when i double click the folder it opens a new window with the search bar, but its blank and said that the search didn't find anything
